tank dismantling / decommissioning
With TAK, old and defective systems are disposed of quickly and in an environmentally friendly manner!
Tank disposal includes professional dismantling, removal of the tank systems and final disposal of the residues.

There are various reasons that can lead to the decommissioning of a heating oil tank. This includes the conversion of the heating system to other energy sources. It is also possible that safety or water law requirements for the tank system no longer apply. In any case, the decommissioning and disposal of your old system should be placed in the hands of an experienced and reliable partner.
Tank dismantling may only be carried out by approved specialist companies. Depending on the size of the tank or the location (e.g. water protection area), the tank disposal or decommissioning must be checked by an approved expert after decommissioning and documented with the legally required decommissioning certificate .

We also advise you on questions regarding changes in the use of a tank facility.
Old heating oil tanks (e.g. underground tanks, above-ground cylindrical tanks or basement tanks) can be easily and inexpensively converted into modern rainwater storage tanks after decommissioning. be converted.

Why should a tank be shut down if it is no longer needed?
Heating oil is subject to an ageing process in which suspended particles form and settle on the bottom of your heating oil tank. Together with the condensation water, an oil sludge forms on the bottom of the tank. With steel tanks, there is a risk that the aggressive deposits will cause corrosion damage to the tank walls and cause the tank to break. Plastic tanks also become brittle and fragile as they age. To prevent environmental hazards caused by escaping oil, your tank should be shut down properly .
This may only be documented by a specialist company in accordance with the Water Resources Act (WHG) by means of a decommissioning certificate .
Proper decommissioning includes emptying the residual oil and properly disposing of the oil sludge, as well as degassing, cleaning and dismantling the oil-carrying lines.
When does an expert also have to approve the decommissioning?
Many customers are unsure as to when an expert inspection is actually necessary.
We are happy to answer this:
An expert must always be called in for tank disposal/tank decommissioning if it is an underground tank , for above-ground tanks that are larger than 10,000 liters, and for tank systems in water protection areas that are larger than 1,000 liters.
We will be happy to coordinate the acceptance by the expert for you!
